Out of all our experiments, the 25 Creedmoor stands to be one of the best short-action hunting SBR calibers to date. In the middle of the 6.5 and 6creed, pulling high BC and velocity from each respectively, the 25 maintains accuracy and terminal performance out of a short barrel extremely well. Launching factory 128gr ELD-X bullets in excess of 2400 fps, and 110gr handloads touching 2800, we are seeing bullet expanding velocities at near 600 yards. Lately, Walter has experimented with the Tikka t3x, and likes the platform so much he decided to give bowlers an opportunity to get a high-performance carbon barrel in a compact package. Set up the 12.5″ for the shortest and lightest (24oz) SBR configuration, or throw on the 14.5″ (28oz) with the right pinned and welded muzzle device for a legal-length rifle.
